TROPICAL DEPRESSION CRISING ADVISORY NO. 07 (FINAL)

Current Status & Outlook Tropical Depression (TD) CRISING has weakened into a Tropical Disturbance (LPA) while moving west-northwestward across the Sulu Sea.

This LPA including its trough will bring scattered to widespread rains with severe thunderstorms and squalls across Palawan today.

This is the final advisory on this Tropical Cyclone.

Where is CRISING? As of 5:00 AM PhT today, May 15…2100 GMT:

  • Location of Center/Eye: Over Sulu Sea (near 8.8°N 120.9°E)
  • Distance 1: 100 km south-southwest of Cagayancillo, Palawan
  • Distance 2: 266 km east-southeast of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan
  • Distance 3: 270 km west of Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte
How strong is it? Maximum Sustained Winds (1-min avg): 35 kph near the center…Gustiness: 55 kph.
Past Movement (06 hrs) West-Northwest @ 21 kph, towards Sulu Sea-Palawan  Area.
