Tropical Storm DANTE (CHOI-WAN) Advisory No. 08

Its western & southern rainbands together with its trough (extension) will continue to affect Northern & Central Mindanao, Visayas, MiMaRoPa, and Bicol Region. Occasional rains & Severe thunderstorms with gusty winds will be expected across these areas today.

24-hr Outlook: TS DANTE is forecast to move west-northwestward to northwestward at an increased forward speed of 21 km/hr…and will make another landfall over Ticao Island, between 6 to 8:00 AM this morning. The storm is expected to move over Burias Island before noon today and across Ragay Gulf in the afternoon, and a 4th landfall along Calauag, Quezon before sunset today. By, DANTE will emerge over Lamon Bay with a little change in strength.

• Distance 2: 87 km north-northeast of Tacloban City, Leyte
• Distance 3: 170 km southeast of Sorsogon City, Sorsogon

• Landfall 02:  Over Ticao Island (Masbate) or Sorsogon, between 6 to 8 AM  tomorrow (Wed, June 02) – with High Strike Probability of >90%. 
• Landfall 03:  Over Burias Island between 10 AM to 12 PM  today – with High Strike Probability of >90%. 
• Landfall 04:  Over Calauag or Bondoc Peninsula (Quezon) between 2 to 4 PM  today – with High Strike Probability of 80-90%.
