Typhoon BISING (SURIGAE) Advisory No. 13

The typhoon’s westernmost rainbands will continue to bring overcast skies with passing “on-&-off” rain showers, severe thunderstorms and gusty winds (with the help of the NE Windflow) across the eastern & northern sections of Extreme Northern Luzon including Batanes & Babuyan Island Group.  Meanwhile, its Trough will also bring isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across portions of Northern Luzon.

24-hr Outlook: TY BISING (SURIGAE) is forecast to accelerated slightly northeastward at a speed of 14 km/hr over the western part of the North Philippine Sea. This cyclone is expected to weaken rapidly into a Category 1 Typhoon (TY) within the next 12 to 24 hours.

• SUNDAY EARLY MORNING: Weakens into a Tropical Storm (TS) while moving eastward across the eastern part of the North Philippine Sea…about to exit the NE border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), some 1,271 km E of Basco, Batanes [2AM Apr 25: 20.4°N 134.2°E @ 85 kph].  Confidence Level: LOW
