Current Status & Outlook | Typhoon BISING (SURIGAE) has weakened slightly as it begins to move northward across the North Philippine Sea, well to the east of Northern Cagayan.
The typhoon’s westernmost rainbands will continue to bring overcast skies with passing “on-&-off” rain showers, severe thunderstorms and gusty winds (with the help of the NE Windflow) across the eastern & northern sections of Northern Luzon including Batanes & Babuyan Island Group. Meanwhile, its Trough will also bring cloudy skies with isolated to scattered rain showers and thunderstorms across portions of Luzon including Metro Manila, Bicol Region, Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon. 24-hr Outlook: TY BISING (SURIGAE) is forecast to move north slowly at a speed of 09 km/hr over the western part of the North Philippine Sea. This cyclone is expected to weaken into a Category 3 Typhoon (TY) within the next 12 to 24 hours. |
