Typhoon INDAY (MUIFA) Final StormWatch

INDAY (MUIFA) has weakened into a Category 1 Typhoon after crossing Yaeyama Islands…about to exit the northern border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). 

This is the Final StormWatch on this Tropical Cyclone.

• Location of Center: Over the northern coastal areas of Yaeyama Islands (near 24.8°N 124.0°E)
• Distance 1: 247 km east of Taipei, Taiwan
• Distance 2: 493 km east-southeast of Fuzhou, China
• Distance 3: 524  km north-northeast of Basco, Batanes

• Typhoon Inday (Muifa) is expected to exit the northern border of the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) later tonight or early tomorrow morning (Sept 13).
• Medium confidence-forecast for Thursday morning (Sept 15) – shows Typhoon Inday (Muifa) making landfall over Eastern China and passing over or very close to Shanghai, China with medium-confidence windspeed of 100 km/hr near the center.
