Current Status & Outlook | Tropical Storm ENTENG (YAGI) managed to intensify before making landfall over Eastern Isabela this afternoon. The storm’s core will continue to bring occasional rains, thunderstorms, and gusty winds as it moves across Cagayan Valley tonight.
48-hr Outlook: TS ENTENG is expected to pass close to Aparri, Cagayan early tomorrow morning, and will exit the landmass of Northern Luzon before noon tomorrow. By 2 PM tomorrow, ENTENG is forecast to be over the West Philippine Sea, moving westward, and will exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Wednesday morning (Sept 04). The circulation of TS ENTENG, its trough, and the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring moderate to intense rainfall and severe thunderstorms across Western Visayas, MiMaRoPa, the Sulu Archipelago, the rest of Luzon, including Metro Manila, tonight. Residents are advised to take all necessary precautions against flash floods, landslides, and lahars associated with these conditions. |
